Ava started her career in theatre acting at Global Girls on the south-side of Chicago. At the age of 14 she studied at Katta Kuthu Nadagam Theatre in Chennai, India through a cultural exchange project. She then began teaching theater, voice, and dance workshops for girls ages 8-18 at their summer youth camp, teaching communication, leadership, and life-skills. In high-school, Ava majored in musical theatre at the Chicago Academy for the Arts. She went on to study classical theatre at the University of Minnesota/ Guthrie Theatre BFA Actor Training Program, where she studied abroad in London at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre as the leading role of Henry V. She also traveled to France, Amsterdam, Spain, Wales, and Morocco. She performed live music concerts at house shows and on-campus music festivals. She wrote, directed, and starred in a one-woman-show, Ava in the Garden.Some of her favorite roles include Sarah Brown Eyes in Ragtime, Rosalind in As You Like It, Henry V, and Olga in The Three Sisters. Her muscial acalades are a 2020 released E.P. Blue Vinyl. With big eyes & big dreams, she spends her time traveling, writing, painting, as well as playing the guitar. She is very grateful to God for allowing her to see the world & pursue her dream in the arts!
